Halquinol can inhibit the pathogenic bacteria by binding with the positive ion in respiratory mechanism of pathogen.
• Reduce the tone and motility of smooth muscles in GI-Tract, So the
GI-tract can absorb more water and nutrients back to the body.
• Not absorbed from the GI-Tract, hence nontoxic
• Besides its antimicrobial property and can reduce the motility of GITract,
Halquinol can act as Anti-diarrhea.

• The current MIC of Halquinol as determined by Agar dilution method following macro dilution technique is 8 μg/mL against both Escherichia coli. and Salmonella spp.
• HALOQUIN from Better Pharma has the anti-bacteria performance on pathogenic bacteria as good as the original product.
• Previous MIC values of Halquinol against Escherichia coli., with MIC range of 8 to 16 μg/mL (Prapasarakul et al., 2010)
